Idealistic

People have different thoughts and way of thinking them through. Some of them think in a practical sense, and some are Idealistic. Is there a specific way to think beforeyou put things into actions?
I have tons of arguments and heathy fights with my friends, and they always end up saying that I have a very idealistic approach and it is impossible that I will lead my life like that. Is it actually so hard to be an idealist?
Face it, practical approach is something which is designed so that you can have things easier as thats the usual way. In an evoving society, where some of them change for good and some are for bad, is it not the idealist which makes the things correct ..

is it always hard to be an idealist in your thoughts and actions....Some of the arguments makes me question on if it is actually practiacl to be an idealist...

so who judges whats correct? whats correct to you could be wrong to someone else..! someone else's ideals could seem 'wrong' to u n viceversa!

This is a difficult question and there is no right answer. For questions like these, you will find that questioning the question is much more fruitful.

why do you care if your friends call you an idealist? is it wrong to defend your thoughts?

"The essence of being human is that one does not seek perfection, that
one is sometimes willing to commit sins for the sake of loyalty, that
one does not push asceticism to the point where it makes friendly intercourse impossible, and that one is prepared in the end to be defeated and broken up by life, which is the inevitable price of fastening one's love upon other human individuals. No doubt alcohol,
tobacco, and so forth, are things that a saint must avoid, but sainthood is also a thing that human beings must avoid."

- George Orwell

welcome to the wonderful world of blogging!!!

being idealistic and being practical are both impossible to achieve in the purest of terms... we often find ourselves fighting this battle by balancing decisions based out of our minds and decisions based out of our hearts... just like everything else that there is, we experience only a drop in the ocean, and due to which one's ideal arabian sea may appear as a not-so-ideal pacific ocean to another...

since it is important to first have a basic sustenance level and an instinct of survival, it becomes of importance to show character in being practical to a certain extent, so that we could pull our lives toward that idealistic destination... who knows, a lifetime is often not enough for most, maybe one day we'll get there!!!

Arcind, guess your comments are true to a sense when you are trying to be a practical person, but why is a practical situation, not the ideal... that is something which I cannot come around...
and thanks for the welcome note...
